Version Española

In the framework of collaboration between the University of Cantabria and ACORDE, the ACORDE fellowship was created with the aim of completing the training of the students in practical tasks that allow them to experience their future work in a company. Encouragement of the development of personal initiative is a fundamental skill, as well as the handling and use of laboratory tools.

The programme is directed to students in the last years of the Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering and computer studies.
The fellowship offers a set of grants to carry out directed work and end-of-degree projects, which are guided by a University of Cantabria teacher who acts as a Tutor of each student or group of students.

The grants consist of a monetary award for engineering students of the 5-year and 3-year courses. The grants are three-monthly with the possibility of extending them every three months for up to 9 months in total; the extension is automatic if there is a positive assessment of the work done every three months, if the evaluation is negative the grant is discontinued.

The Tutor presents a brief three-monthly report reflecting the student’s behavior, interest in the work, effort, working capability, innovation and ability to work in a team.  The grant students must sign a declaration of their understanding of the norms and their acceptance of them.
