ACORDE TECHNOLOGIES (ACORDE) is a company whose activities are focused on high technology subsystems and components for Space, Telecommunications and Defence Sectors mainly related to Radiocommunications systems. The company was created in 1999 and it has grown very fast, nowadays conducting business in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. ACORDE US. To provide a better service to our American customers, a filial of ACORDE, named ACORDE US has been created in USA.

ACORDE has two lines of business:
· SATCOM products, networks and custom products for Defence and professional communications.
· System engineering for broadband radiocommunications and Homeland Security.

ACORDE Satcom business unit designs and manufactures High-Tech RF and Microwave equipment, having a global product range BUCs, SSPAs, LNBs, transceivers and frequency converters, in all satellite frequency bands for both commercial and military applications: Ka, X, Ku & C bands. ACORDE is a world market leader in the emerging Ka band, and offers an innovative IP-based Monitor & Control.

Moreover, ACORDE has a high expertise in custom design (Build-to-Spec design services) to adapt existing products to the specific necessities of each client or develop custom specific products. This is particularly important in Defence and professional communications.

ACORDE System Engineering division tries to go beyond, thus, given its commitment to global communications, it has integrated solutions for high-speed, wireless communications, which are ideal for environments where it is both difficult and costly to interconnect remote installations with conventional cabled systems. Cutting-edge technologies such as WiMax and WiFi-Mesh are used, which enable the incorporation into the wireless network itself of any added value service such as IP telephony, security, wireless sensors, etc. Acorde Security: this company was created to develop and integrate new secured solutions, especially designed to cover the characteristics required by the Security sector, at different levels. It is mainly focused on those Homeland Security areas where it may be necessary to develop measures to confront and prevent attacks against critical infrastructures. These measures will reduce the vulnerability to possible threats, minimize the risks and facilitate, if necessary, the recovery from any caused damage (Homeland Security Concept). This company works always in contact with the System Engineering division.

The technical capacity of Acorde is backed up by our important customers and partners, by the competence of the company’s professional staff, the quality of the work done and our capability to face challenges. Acorde has the aim of being your technological partner, offering an integral service covering all the phases of your projects.

Facilities
The company has facilities for the design, manufacturing, measurement and testing stages. Radiofrequency laboratories are well equipped with high frequency instrumentation (network analysers, vector signal generators, frequency meters, spectrum analysers, digital oscilloscopes, phase noise and power meters, and all types of connectors and calibration kits) to measure from base band up to 50 GHz. SMT laboratory and clean room (10.000 or ISO-4 class). All these laboratories are ESD protected (EPA). There is also a laboratory for environmental testing, equipped with climatic and vibration chambers and a mechanical workshop with automatic machines.

Human Resources (Our Team)
ACORDE has 100 employees, of which 70 are engineers, with an important percentage of senior engineers.

R&D
Besides its ambitious internal R&D programs, ACORDE participates actively in the European Union Research Framework Programme (From FP5 until current FP7), as well as with other institutions such as EDA, ESA and GALILEO, in collaborative projects of telecommunications, space and aeronautics areas. Collaboration takes place with the most important European companies in these sectors, joining efforts to develop new components and systems.
