Acorde is a SME whose activities are focused on high technology subsystems and components for Space, Telecommunications and Defence Sectors mainly related to Radiocommunications systems. The company was created in 1999 and it has grown very fast, nowadays conducting business in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.

Acorde is a young and dynamic business with a high capacity for R&D, dedicated to design and manufacture (small and medium production series) of radiofrequency, microwave and mm-wave components, equipment and systems for satellite and terrestrial communications.

Acorde participates actively in the Research Programme Framework of the European Union and with other institutions such as ESA, in projects the areas of telecommunications, space and aeronautics. It collaborates with the most important European companies in these sectors. The company has 30 high level engineers working in these activities.

BroadBand: Acorde has tried to go a step further and given its commitment to global communications; it has developed and integrated solutions for high-speed, wireless communications, which are ideal for environments where it is both difficult and costly to interconnect remote installations with conventional cabled systems. For this we use cutting-edge technologies such as WiMax and WiFi-Mesh, which enable the incorporation into the wireless network itself of any added value service such as IP telephone, security, wireless sensors etc.

Acorde Security: we have created this new company whose objective is to develop and integrate new solutions especially designed to cover the characteristics required by the Security sector at different levels. It is mainly focused on those Security areas where it may be necessary to develop measures to confront and prevent attacks on critical infrastructures. These measures will reduce the vulnerability to possible threats, minimize the risks and facilitate, if necessary, the recovery from any damage caused(Homeland Security Concept).

For all these activities, Acorde nowadays has three business divisions: Product Engineering, System Engineering and R+D, moreover the new company Acorde Security
