Manuel Lobeira takes part in a Santander 4.0 panel discussion on artificial intelligence and business competitiveness

Manuel Lobeira, CEO of ACORDE, has participated as a speaker at the first content panel of Santander40, the leading business forum held in the Cantabrian capital. Moderated by Asier González, a senior executive at Banco Santander España, the session  ,entitled “The Challenges of AI in New Relationship Models and Business Competitiveness”, brought together four CEOs from sectors as diverse as defence and space, pet insurance, IT engineering and sovereign infrastructure, to discuss how artificial intelligence is transforming their businesses: from automating commercial processes to redefining the way companies engage with their customers.

The debate delivered a clear and unanimous message: artificial intelligence is no longer an option ,it is a matter of competitiveness. The real challenge for companies lies in the boldness required to implement it, in keeping its costs under control, and in preserving sovereignty over their own data.

Manuel Lobeira summed it up with characteristic directness, speaking from the perspective of a technology company competing on a global scale: “Falling behind means losing the race outright ,whoever innovates late has already lost.”
