Manuel Lobeira, CEO of ACORDE, attends the traditional Royal Household reception on Spain’s National Day

ACORDE’s CEO, Manuel Lobeira, was present at the traditional reception hosted by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain at the Royal Palace of Madrid on the occasion of Spain’s National Day.

Following the military parade on 12 October, the King and Queen moved to the Royal Palace to preside over the traditional besamanos reception, which brought together close to a thousand guests. It was the fourth time Princess Leonor took part in a reception of this kind.

As every year, the Royal Palace welcomed the highest institutions of the Spanish State, including the President of the Government and most of the ministers, as well as the Presidents of the Congress of Deputies and the Senate, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court and the General Council of the Judiciary, among other authorities.

Among the representatives of the Spanish business community invited to this edition was Manuel Lobeira, CEO of ACORDE, attending on behalf of the Cantabria-based company, recently distinguished with the 2026 National Innovation Award in the Innovative SME category, granted by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

For ACORDE, the attendance of its CEO at this institutional reception is a further acknowledgement of the company’s role within the Spanish technology, aerospace and defence ecosystem, in a particularly significant year for the company.
